Debriefing sessions in cooperation with Ard Al-Insan Society

 

Aisha Association for Woman and Child Protection held two focus groups in cooperation with Ard Al-insan Society on Tuesday, Dec 25^th 2012 in Al-Shija'ya neighborhood. It was conducted by the specialists Sohayla Sarhan and Ayat Abu Jayab aiming to evaluate women's expectations and needs after the war on the psychological and social levels, besides, psychological debriefing was part of this meeting using relaxation exercises. At the beginning, they practiced some relaxation exercises and they reflected good responses, afterwards, many women talked about their real stories which assure their ability to express and discharge their feelings freely. Those stories were about family problems and poor economic and social conditions. They also mentioned the traumatic consequences they suffered from after the war represented in feeling worry, scared, and insecure, extra to their children issues, basic needs of having residence, food, and clothes. At the latest, it was recommended to go on such meetings and to focus on the psychological and social sides.
