Project Coordinator
Aisha Association for Women and Child Protection is an independent, non-profit Palestinian organization that works to protect and empower women, children, and adolescents, promote mental health and psychosocial support, and mainstream protection and gender justice approaches across all its programs.
In partnership with UNICEF, Aisha Association is implementing the Play and Heal project to strengthen the mental health and psychosocial well-being of children and adolescents affected by crisis. The project is delivered through Temporary Learning Centers (TLCs) and focuses on structured play and group-based psychosocial activities, alongside supportive engagement with caregivers and educators, to enhance resilience, coping skills, and safe access to child-friendly services. Implementation is aligned with Child Protection and PSS standards, and applies Do No Harm, Safeguarding/Child Safeguarding, and PSEA requirements across all project activities.
Aisha Association is seeking to recruit a Project Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the implementation of UNICEF-supported Play and Heal psychosocial Project in Temporary Learning Centers (TLCs) , ensuring effective execution of activities and full compliance with approved plans, organizational standards, safeguarding/PSEA requirements, and UNICEF obligations.

Location: Aisha Association offices in Gaza City or Deir Al-Balah, with regular travel to all project implementation sites (TLCs)Contract duration: 8 months, renewable subject to performance and funding
Start date: January 2026
Reporting to: Project coordinator will submit reports to program manager assistant and the partner organization.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum in one of the following fields:
Business Administration, Education, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Engineering, or any related administrative, scientific, or humanitarian discipline relevant to the nature of the role.
- Training in the following areas is considered an asset:
- Humanitarian Project Management
- Planning, Monitoring, and Follow-up
- Report Writing
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in coordinating and managing projects (psychosocial support, mental health, humanitarian, or community-based projects).
- Proven experience in project administration and coordination, including work planning, scheduling, and team management.
- Experience in coordination with partners, donors, schools, and relevant stakeholders.
- General knowledge of Child Protection principles and Psychosocial Support (PSS).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Administration, Planning, and Coordination
- Develop periodic project work plans and follow up on their implementation.
- Organize and coordinate daily project activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Prepare timelines, field deployment plans, and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Maintain continuous administrative coordination with:
- Association management
- Project teams
- Schools and partner institutions
- Donor representatives
- Follow up on official project correspondence and ensure timely responses and actions.
- Coordinate project logistical and operational needs in collaboration with relevant departments.
II. Supervision and Follow-up
- Provide administrative supervision to project staff and ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor implementation progress from an administrative and quality perspective.
- Identify operational challenges and submit recommendations and solutions to management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, approved project plans, and donor standards.
III. Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare periodic reports (biweekly, monthly, quarterly) on project progress.
- Document activity data, including beneficiary numbers disaggregated by gender, age, and disability, as well as achievements and challenges.
- Ensure systematic archiving of all technical, financial, and administrative project documentation.
- Prepare success stories and field reports, and coordinate the provision of supporting media materials.
- Prepare the final project report in accordance with Association and donor requirements.
IV. Standards and Protection Compliance
- Ensure project adherence to Child Protection standards and the Do No Harm Principle.
- Ensure full compliance with Safeguarding, Child Safeguarding, PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and the Association’s Code of Conduct across all project activities and TLSs.
- · Ensure safeguarding and PSEA measures are integrated into planning and implementation (safe referrals, informed consent, confidentiality, safe data handling, and safe participation of children and adolescents).
- · Ensure all project staff, volunteers, and contractors receive orientation/refresher briefings on safeguarding and PSEA requirements and know how to report concerns.
- Support the safe display and dissemination of complaints and feedback mechanisms (including PSEA reporting channels) at TLSs and ensure community members know how to access them.Refer any protection-related concerns or technical challenges to the designated technical supervisor in accordance with established protocols and immediately escalate any safeguarding/PSEA concern through internal reporting channels in line with organizational procedures and a survivor-
V. Additional Responsibilities
- Actively participate in planning, monitoring, and evaluation meetings.
- Perform any other duties related to the project as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Required Competencies and Skills:
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- High capacity for coordination, follow-up, and multitasking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong reporting and administrative documentation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic field environments.
- High proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- · Strong understanding of Safeguarding, Child Safeguarding, and PSEA principles, and the ability to apply them in field programming.
- · Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and follow safe information-sharing protocols.
Special Conditions:
- The position is open to both females and males.
- Full-time availability throughout the contract period is required.
- The employee is responsible for commuting to work locations; the Association does not provide transportation.
- Commitment to the Association’s internal policies and Code of Conduct is mandatory.
